Lillian Brownstein is 2U’s General Counsel, responsible for overseeing the corporate legal function as well as litigation and intellectual property matters.
Before joining 2U, Brownstein served in various senior legal roles at MicroStrategy Incorporated where she was responsible for overseeing the securities, corporate governance, privacy, and product-related matters. Earlier in her career, Brownstein was a corporate attorney in the New York office of Latham & Watkins LLP, where she represented public and private companies on governance, M&A, and securities matters.
Brownstein graduated from Northwestern University with a B.A. in Political Science and International Studies and earned her J.D. from Columbia University Law School.
